10月30日発売となるfripSideのニューアルバム「infinite synthesis 5」のジャケットが完成、収録楽曲リストも公開された。
2009年11月にリリースされた「only my railgun」で南條愛乃さんがfripSideに参加してから今年で10年。
本作では八木沼悟志さんと南條さんが10年の時を経て、それぞれが気負うことなくfripSideというユニットのあるべき姿を表現した”真骨頂“ともいうべき作品に仕上がっている。
また、アルバムリリースに先駆け、ライブを意識したというリード曲「when chance strikes」のMVが公開となった。
